Rome dérive III

Rome dérive III is a reshot of a film scene from La Dolce Vita, at the same places and spots in Rome, with the same camera movements and angles as in the original film, but without any actors. The soundtrack combines the dialogue of the original actors with the present nightly sounds in the same spot. The work prompts us about how visual culture can shape our notion of space – in this time one of the most photographed and filmed places, Fontana di Trevi in Rome.
